The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has recently released the notification for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 via Advertisement No. 01/UPTET/2026 on its official website. This examination is scheduled to be conducted from 02-July 2026 to 04-July-2026. The application process will commence on 27-March-2026, and candidates may submit their forms until 26-April-2026.

UPTET 2026 : Eligibility Criteria

• TET Primary Teacher (Class 1-5) : Candidates must be a graduate from a recognized university by the NCTE and must have completed a teacher training course such as a BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent, and be a final year student in their graduation degree or relevant training program; they must have secured at least 50% marks in the graduation degree or the relevant training program (candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for exact details on eligibility criteria).
• TET Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8) : Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% in some categories as per rules) from an NCTE-recognized institution and must also hold a teacher training qualification, such as B.Ed, BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent, or those in the final year of these programs, or those with specialized qualifications in education (such as Special Education) from RCI-recognized institutes, or those who have passed the 12th with 50% marks and are pursuing or have completed a 4-year integrated teacher training course.
